CATS
has strong links with various academic and professional institutions.
Around the world we have worked with local chapters of the
Institute of Internal Auditors and Keith Wade has been involved
with the IIA UK and Ireland in various capacities for over
25 years.
Where appropriate, the contents of the courses reflect the
requirements and standards of the various professional and
regulatory bodies. Or specific courses can be designed. Many
of our events are recognised by the relevant institutes as
providing sound preparation for their examinations. The modular
annual training programme developed for government internal
auditors in Ireland is accredited by CIPFA (the Chartered
Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy).
The
Centre for Integrated Auditing
To
provide a broader basis for promoting staff and organisational
development in internal audit, control and related disciplines,
in 1995 we established "The Centre for Integrated Auditing",
with Keith Wade as its founding director. This enables us
to conduct research, to provide a broad range of training
events and to work closely with practitioners, professional
bodies, and academic and other relevant institutions in order
to improve understanding of the respective contributions of
internal audit, management and others charged with audit,
review and control responsibilities.
Its research projects included the first ever
survey into the state of the art of environmental auditing,
conducted jointly with Henley Management College.
Our work
in control self-assessment led to the publication in 1999 of “Control Self
Assessment – for Risk Management and Other Practical Applications”, edited by
Keith Wade and Andy Wynne.
